Kitchen bags are 13 gallon capacity, fitting most kitchen waste cans, and can be used for the collection of food waste or other biodegradable items such as paper or compostable food service items. They are also useful for collecting small amounts of garden or yard waste for municipal collection. The bags are made from the material, Mater-Bi, which contains GMO-free starch, compostable polymer and other renewable resources. BioBags are certified compostable by the Biodegradable Products Institute for composting in a municipal or commercial composting facility where they break down in 10-45 days. In the home composting setting, they will break down completely at the same rate as food scraps, paper, and leaves. Made in Norway.
