We choose Badger Sunscreen because it received the highest safety ratings from Environmental Working Group (a zero is the best score you can get). Even better, this one repels bugs for those sunny and buggy spots like the beloved garden. Zinc oxide is used as a physical barrier from the sun rather than the synthetic chemicals found in conventional sunscreens. The zinc oxide offers broad-spectrum protection from both UVA and UVB rays, while the natural oils and waxes soothe and moisturize your skin and repel the bugs. Each tube contains 2.9 oz. Made in New Hampshire.
Ingredients: Active Sunscreen Ingredient: Micronized Zinc Oxide 20.5%

Note to composters: Please don’t compost your sunscreen; rather wear it while you build your pile. All ingredients with the exception of zinc oxide are natural oils or waxes, and as such are biodegradable. Zinc oxide is not biodegradable since it is a mineral with low aquatic toxicity. The tube is #2 plastic made from 50% post-consumer recycled material.
